People have fun with names here. This lovely lady who I nearly ran over to try and get a photo of is called Annie. A very sedate name by some standards in Vanuatu.
Some of my favourite Vanuatu names so far:
Freedah Kalo - a very sweet, duo-browed girl at work
Dorosdey Peterson - as in Doris Day, but as a first name
Glycerin - the slippery sounding lady who works for my neighbour
Samson Samson - a name so nice they used it twice
and today I came across the very onomatopoeia-ic .... Peter Pata!
